Greeting from the Chair
Grateful for Our Connections, Moving Toward the Future
Junko Kaneko
Thanks to all of you, our union has reached a major milestone: our 80th anniversary.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the many predecessors who built the
foundation of this union and passed down their passion to this day, as well as to all the
members who support our daily union activities.
It has been eight years since I assumed the role of Chairman of the Central Executive
Committee. During this time, I have listened to the voices of many fellow members, thought
alongside them, and tackled various challenges together. Through these experiences, I am
reminded once again that the true foundation of our union lies in "human connection."
As times change, so do our work styles and values, and the environment surrounding us is
undergoing significant transformation. That is exactly why I want to continue cherishing the
importance of listening to every individual's voice, mutually respecting one another, and
supporting each other.
Our 80-year history is a journey built upon the united passions and actions of countless
individuals, passed down from one generation to the next. I believe it is our duty—those of
us carrying the torch today—to honor this journey with gratitude, carefully preserve its
legacy, and pass it on to the next generation and into the future beyond.
Moving forward, with a core commitment to "valuing people," I want to work with all of you
to create a workplace where everyone can feel secure, be true to themselves, and continue to
work with a smile.
With deepest gratitude for 80 years of connection. And, together with our fellow members,
toward a new future.
